Barbiecore became one of the most prominent trends of 2023, captivating audiences with its vibrant pink aesthetic and the iconic Barbie persona. However, amidst the excitement, Ken was often overlooked. As part of a creative campaign for GUESS, we reimagined Ken’s traditional perception as a shadowed character and introduced a fresh interpretation, Kenergy.
To embody this new vision of Ken we invited the videographer and key figure in the local creative community, Maxim Roslichenko. He became the epitome of the freedom to be oneself: effortless and genuine, playful yet straightforward, stern yet rugged — he is exactly who he chooses to be. This Ken is a modern, bold, and entirely self-assured character who transcends conventional stereotypes.
